Gymshark

The Little Things are the Big Things.

Brand name.

Gymshark.

What is it?

Fitness clothing and accessories.

What we can learn.

Here’s an example of how one element of the Gymshark (recently valued at £1bn) online store is aiding growth.

The Gymshark homepage is setup to showcase new product releases.

This keeps the page ‘fresh’ and ‘current’, especially for returning customers.

And for those of us who are busy (who isn’t?), there’s a nifty ‘one click’ QUICK ADD option to add a product, by size, to the shopping cart. For new products being showcased on the homepage.

I’ve seen this functionality before but what’s neat about the way Gymshark do it is there are 2 visual confirmations… a checkmark ✔ appears after my ‘one click’ followed by the shopping cart ‘sliding in’ from the right as a second visual confirmation that the product has been added to my cart. Hoorah!

Simple. Effective. Primed to sell.

Upside.

More sales.

Downside.

I can’t see any.

Did You Know?

Setup by a then 19 year old Ben Francis from his parents garage in 2012, Gymshark has recently been valued at £1 billion making it the UK’s most successful sportswear brand.

And recently Gymshark migrated from a Magento ecommerce website to a Shopify solution to allow them to easily scale.

Website.
